“Thanks, Adrianne…I’m glad you’re around” he grinned and played with the sleeping girl’s hair “I dunno if I’d be able to raise her right without you…I already fucked up Zenobia..”
“The important part is that she always knows she’s loved and she can count on you. So far I think you’re doing fine with that.” Adrianne paused a moment, thoughtfully. “And Zenobia’s wonderful, I just wish she was more confident.”
He looked up at her again, a small frown playing across his features “Yes…she is a shy little thing…even when she was just a cuttle she was horrifically shy and scared of pretty much anything…I had to make a magical ball of water so she could sleep in my bed…if I left her in her pool by herself she’d cry all night.”
“Sounds like she loves you, too,” Adrianne pointed out. “I just hope whoever she’s with now will be able to boost her self-esteem.”

Adrianne hugged him, careful of Celeste. “I didn’t know I could still sneak up on you.” She grinned.
He smiled and kissed her cheek before looking down at the tiny sleeping child “Heh not like I was payin’ much attention…though with how drunk I am it isn’t that hard these days is it?”
“Suppose not.” She toyed with his hair affectionately. “She’s adorable.” She commented, looking down at Celeste.
“Isn’t she though? A sweet little darling. I’m glad I have her…” he frowned slightly “Though it will be hard raising her with my nature…sometimes I feel maybe I should pass her on to a more appropriate guardian…”
